My dear Edith Maryon,
Many thanks for your message of Monday, 9 August. I am writing this on my way back from the umbrella and cane factory in Bönigen, which I had to visit for Futurum A.G. I was able to combine it with a trip over the Brünig, where Mr. Molt, Frau Doktor and Waller had been for a few days. Today I will be back in Dornach. Everything is in order in the studio; I was only away for a day and a half and have made sure that no disorder occurs, which admittedly did not go off without excitement with Miss Geck. But now, although the studio is longing for its director, I would ask you not to hurry if you wish to extend your stay there for a few days. It is worrying to think that the long, tiring journey is only made for a few days. So please, if necessary, allow yourself a few more days there. One must be sensible in such matters. The Molt car will soon return to Dornach via Bern. I used it to make the visit to Bönigen; I will have another business matter to attend to in Bern with Molt and so I am sending only
